Promise to Osama

by Sherri Granato

Ships on fire in the air
As much of the city looks on
In total dismay, horror, and despair
Faces that have no feeling
Hearts that do not bleed
No cares of lives they are stealing
They claim its about religion
But ultimately its hatred and greed
Twin structures torn apart
A city devastated by acts
That took a nation by the heart
The cowardly major drama
Orchestrated by foreign lands
For the sake of their beloved Osama
When you picked the United States
You should have given more thought
For what lies ahead of you in wait
Seals, warheads, abundant military alas
Watching you around the clock
In preparation to kick your turban ass!
