The Chipmunk of Old Main

He darts across those dangerous paths,
Pausing with brief wisdom.

Dodging feet and boots and legs
His tail with indecision.

He hopes to spot a scrap or morsel
(Something for his dinner)

And then he runs like a time-tied groom;
After all, it’s in his nature.
