Her Memory

I can still remember
That September sunset,
When we watched the dying flowers,
Dancing in the cool-warm breeze.

Her scent lingered on air and mixed with the wind
As though seasons would make time come and go.

And though it was eight,
Or seven years ago,
Her name still falls
Sweet and swiftly to my pillow.

And I dream.
